Direct Support Assistant
Archita Singamsetty is currently pursuing a master's degree in health informatics, Her academic and research interests focus on leveraging data analytics to improve healthcare outcomes. As a direct support assistant with the HANDS team, she is dedicated to providing essential support and care, utilizing her expertise to enhance the effectiveness of health services.
I’m Naga Hemasree Sravanam, a Master’s student in Health Informatics at the Luddy School with a background in dental surgery. My interests lie in clinical data analytics, clinical decision support systems (CDSS), and human factors engineering in healthcare technology. Throughout my coursework and projects, I’ve explored areas like hospital readmission rates among culturally diverse populations, cognitive biases in CDSS, and the use of virtual reality in psychiatric treatment. I’m passionate about leveraging data-driven decision-making to improve healthcare outcomes. I have experience in business analytics and stakeholder communication strategies. My goal is to become a clinical data analyst, where I can bridge the gap between data and patient care to drive better efficiency in healthcare systems.
Research Assistant
Surya Sripathi joined HANDS in Autism in June 2024 as a Research Assistant for the Collaborative Sites project. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Health Informatics from Indiana University, Indianapolis, Surya’s academic and research interests focus on data analytics and data visualization.
Dimple Sushma Alluri joined HANDS in 2024 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Health Informatics at IUPUI. I am working as a research assistant intern, contributing mainly to literature review. My academic and research interests are primarily focused on biostatistics, data analysis, and visualization. Before joining masters I have completed Doctor of Pharmacy in India.
Digital Materials Assistant
Srithika Sheetal Suvarna joined the HANDS team in 2024 as a Digital Materials Assistant. She has a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction from Indiana University Indianapolis. Srithika's research interests include user experience design, accessibility, and applying cognitive psychology principles to create intuitive, user-centered digital interfaces. Leveraging her academic background in architecture and her advanced studies in human-computer interaction, Srithika actively contributes to user research, interface design, and usability testing projects at HANDS. Her interdisciplinary approach uniquely combines spatial design expertise with human-computer interaction methodologies to significantly enhance user experiences across diverse digital platforms.
DIRECTOR
Dr. Swiezy is a Professor of Clinical Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry at the Indiana University School of Medicine.As founder of the HANDS in Autism® Model and Director of the HANDS in Autism® Center, her programming and research interests include the facilitation and implementation of systems change with direct involvement in development of programming, training and supervision of personnel and students in implementing programming elements, and facilitating engagement, participation and training of community partners.
Student Support Assistant
Poorva Reddy became part of the HANDS team in 2024 as a Student Support Assistant, bringing her dedication to enhancing patient care. She is currently advancing her knowledge by pursuing a Master's degree in Medical Informatics at Indiana University. Before joining HANDS, she completed her Bachelor's degree in Dental Surgery from India.
Research Assistant
Mahitha joined the HANDS in Autism team in January 2025 as a Research Assistant with the Coordinated Care Team. She is in her final semester of the Master’s in Health Informatics program at Indiana University and holds a Bachelor’s in dental surgery. With a keen interest in leveraging informatics to enhance healthcare outcomes, she contributes to research initiatives focused on datadriven decision-making and patient-centered care. Her expertise spans clinical decision support systems, healthcare data analysis, and interdisciplinary research.
COMMUNITY TRANSITION SPECIALIST
Audrey obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Ball State University, with a focus on Intense Interventions. She has worked in the disability field in a variety of settings, including as an Instructor at Erskine Green Training Institute for 3 years.
Student Support Assistant
Abhiram is a Data Science student from India with three years of experience in the field. In addition to his academic pursuits, he works as a Student Support Assistant for HANDS, where he assists students with various needs. With expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling, Abhiram is passionate about using AI and data science to solve real-world problems. His skill set includes programming, data visualization, and predictive analytics, and he is committed to continuous learning and innovation in the field.
