FACT 4: ASD is a very common disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects approximately 1-2% of the global population, making it more common than other well-known disorders like diabetes, cancer, Spina Bifida, and Down syndrome. According to the CDC, 1 in 36 children is identified with ASD, impacting individuals across all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic groups (2020).
