How can HANDS in Autism help with Adult Programming
VR Vendor
How VR and HANDS in Autism Work Together:
If you or your loved one is experiencing difficulties in securing or sustaining employment, you may be eligible for VR services (age 18). The process begins with an application for VR services, and if you meet the eligibility criteria, the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) will work with you to determine your needs and help establish an Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE).
HANDS in Autism can serve as a support resource for individuals who qualify for VR services as a vendor not a provider, if the VR Counselor feels you need extra support. For example, if a participant does not qualify for behaviorist services, they may be referred to HANDS in Autism to receive coaching and support in job skill development if warranted.
