Our Interns Are Almost There! Riley Volunteer Dream Within Reach

🌟 Exciting Progress for Our Interns!

We’re thrilled to share that our Independence Academy interns are getting closer to officially becoming Riley Children’s Hospital volunteers!

Over the past several weeks, our students have been hard at work completing the necessary volunteer training, background checks, and hospital orientation requirements. Their determination and enthusiasm have been inspiring to everyone involved.

💪 Powering Through Setbacks with Positivity

The path to becoming a hospital volunteer hasn’t always been easy — there have been scheduling challenges, extra paperwork, and even a few moments of uncertainty along the way. But through it all, our interns have shown remarkable resilience and teamwork.

When one step took longer than expected, they encouraged each other to stay focused. When unexpected hurdles came up, they found creative ways to solve problems together. Rather than getting discouraged, our interns kept a positive attitude and reminded one another of their shared goal: to make a difference in the lives of children and families at Riley Hospital.

Their persistence and upbeat energy are perfect examples of what Independence Academy stands for — learning through experience, growth through challenge, and compassion through service.

💖 Thank You!

A heartfelt thank-you to the staff at Riley Children’s Hospital for guiding our students, and to our Independence Academy community for cheering them on. Every step forward brings our interns closer to serving others — and that’s something worth celebrating!

Together, we’re building confidence, empathy, and real-world skills that will last a lifetime.
