Implementation Development Workshops

What is the HANDS in Autism® Implementation Development Workshop (IDW)?

The IDWs focus on early works-in-progress where feedback can (a) have a helpful and substantial impact on the developing project, (b) scaffold productive and unique ways to engage with HANDS data and projects that align with study aims, areas of current direction or notable needs in the field, and (c) lead to a useful discussion of cutting-edge literature, considerations and/or issues in implementation or related fields.

Audience

The IDW is accessible to those looking from a research or practice perspective alike but with a focus upon projects that involve disseminating or implementing.  The goal is to use our expertise, experience, and the empirical literature to assist the IDW presenter with planning the most successful implementation project possible.

Format

IDW presenters will have 30 minutes, of which ~10 minutes will be to present their project (without using technology, i.e., no power point), and ~20 minutes for feedback coordinated by the HANDS leadership. A note taker will record notes and the presenter will receive written feedback, so they can stay involved in the discussion. To participate in the IDW, you must be willing to present your own work-in-progress.

IDW Submission

Submissions should be limited to one-page with information bulleted or presented in each section to be eligible for review.

Please focus in on three targeted questions for feedback to focus on in the feedback and discussion.
