Director, HANDS in Autism® at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University Bloomington

Professional Overview

Dr. Tiffany Neal serves as Director of HANDS in Autism® at Indiana University Bloomington. She provides leadership for the center’s interdisciplinary training, research, partnerships, curriculum development, and dissemination efforts. Through her work, Dr. Neal supports evidence-based approaches that strengthen systems of care, education, and community inclusion for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities across the lifespan.

Experience & Background

Dr. Neal has an extensive background in clinical neuropsychology, school psychology, and applied behavior analysis, with expertise in complex and dual diagnoses across inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, home, school, and community-based settings. In addition to her clinical and training roles, she has served as an invited member and representative on local, state, and national associations, task forces, and committees focused on autism, behavioral health, implementation science, diversity and equity, policy, and program evaluation.

Her work emphasizes the integration of evidence-based practices and pragmatic feedback systems to improve outcomes for children, adolescents, families, and service systems. Dr. Neal has contributed to interdisciplinary initiatives focused on strengthening collaborative partnerships among educators, providers, healthcare systems, and families.
