The HANDS in Autism® TwoDay Intensive Administrator Training equips school leaders with practical, evidencebased tools to strengthen programming for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related needs. This rigorous workshop blends demonstration, guided practice, and structured coaching to help administrators apply objective evaluation methods and support teachers effectively. Administrators learn how to use standardized observation and documentation tools, analyze classroom practices, and guide staff in adopting consistent, researchinformed strategies.
Training evaluation results from this recent session show strong gains in both new learning and knowledge growth. Participants rated how much new information they learned as a result of the training:
- 65% rated their learning at the highest level (score of 5)
- 30% rated it a 4
- 5% rated it a 3
- 0% selected 1 or 2
This reflects that 95% of attendees found the training highly informative, reinforcing the value of the structured demonstrations, evidencebased practices, and administrative tools highlighted throughout the workshop.
Participants also rated how much their overall knowledge increased:
- 85% selected the highest rating (5)
- 5% selected a 4
- 10% selected a 3
- 0% selected 1 or 2
In total, 90% of administrators reported a high or very high increase in knowledge. These gains reflect the workshop's emphasis on handson learning, including exposure to functional behavior assessment (FBA) processes, behavior intervention planning (BIP), and the use of evaluation tools that guide objective decisionmaking.
Feedback emphasized that the training strengthened administrator’s confidence in evaluating programming, coaching staff, and establishing systems that support both students and educators. These outcomes reflect HANDS in Autism’s ongoing commitment to improving schoolwide support structures through evidencebased modeling and professional learning.
